At the Workshop/Charrette, five teams of architects, designers and planners were assembled to gather the concepts and ideas of all the people in attendance. Their task was to assist in the definition of ideas, to guide their development in a manner consistent with new urbanism, and to transform them into sketches, drawings and preliminary "plans."

Next, those concepts will be refined still further, embellished, supplemented and built upon to create a focused single concept -- probably with variations, like "plug 'n play" -- for South Square and its neighborhood.

This section is currently organized by Plan/Team: 1 through 5. The Team members are identified. For each Team, the basic concepts which evolved at the workshop will be described and illustrated. As we work on the concepts and the visions evolve over time, the material will be updated.

NOTE: The drawings viewable here now are PRELIMINARY SKETCHES and are not yet organized by Team. The final drawings are being reproduced for publication and will be published in November. After that, they will be updated as we refine the concepts.
